Argus is a global intelligence and data visualization platform. We do not knowingly harvest, sell, or exploit personal data. All user-related data is limited to what is necessary for authentication, platform functionality, and service improvement.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect only the minimum data required to operate the platform.
A. Account Information
When you create an account:
- Email address
- Authentication credentials (securely handled via backend services)
B. Usage Data
We may collect limited technical data such as:
- Device/browser type
- Session activity (for performance and debugging)
- General interaction with features
This data is used strictly for improving platform stability and usability.
3. WHAT WE DO NOT DO
We explicitly do not:
- Sell user data
- Track users across unrelated websites
- Build personal behavioral profiles for advertising
- Intentionally harvest sensitive personal information
4. HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED
All data is processed through secure backend infrastructure:
- Authentication and database services are handled via Supabase
- Backend logic and API handling are managed through Netlify Functions
We do not manually access or process user data outside of these systems unless required for debugging, security, or legal compliance.
5. SUBSCRIPTION AND BILLING INFORMATION
If you subscribe to ArgusIntel Pro ($9/month), the following applies:
A. What We Collect for Billing
- Email address — used to identify your account with our payment processor
- Subscription status — whether your account is on the Free (Viewer) or Pro tier
- Billing cycle metadata — renewal dates and payment confirmation status
We do not collect or store card numbers, CVVs, bank account details, or any other raw payment information.
B. Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor. When you subscribe:
- Your payment details are entered directly on Stripe's hosted checkout — they never pass through our servers
- Stripe may collect and retain billing data under their own Privacy Policy
- We receive only a confirmation of payment and your subscription tier status from Stripe
C. Subscription Status
We store your current subscription tier (Viewer or Pro) in our database to gate access to Pro features. This data is retained for the life of your account and removed upon account deletion.
6. DATA RETENTION
We retain user data only as long as necessary to:
- Maintain your account
- Provide access to the platform
- Comply with legal obligations
Users may request account deletion, which will remove associated data where feasible.
7. SECURITY
We implement reasonable safeguards through our infrastructure providers to protect data from:
- Unauthorized access
- Misuse
- Disclosure
8. USER CONDUCT & ENFORCEMENT
To maintain platform integrity and user safety, the following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Attempted data extraction or scraping
- Unauthorized access or intrusion
- DDoS or service disruption attempts
- Doxing or targeted harassment
- Any form of cyber-related criminal activity
Violations will result in:
- Immediate and permanent account termination
- IP/address-level bans where applicable
- Potential reporting to relevant authorities
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Argus relies on trusted third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — authentication and database
- Netlify — hosting and serverless infrastructure
- Stripe — payments
These providers may process data as part of their services under their own privacy policies.
10. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access your data
- Request correction or deletion
- Withdraw consent where applicable

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves.
When changes are made:
- The "Last updated" date will be revised
- Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
